I was just about to post this in the what the papers say thread but then I saw this one. http://www.theguardian.com/books/ng-int ... -langridge

They reference a load of old British comic strips including Frankie Stein which I always thought was rather obscure. I don't think I even knew about it before I joined this forum.

We got ours this morning, without knowing or expecting to find comics in the weekend section so it was a nice surprise. My favourite is probably 'Baz and Dave'

Ken Reid's Frankie Stein is one of the most fondly remembered strips amongst comic artists and enthusiasts so it's understandable that Roger would include a nod to him in his strip.
