The Amazing Spider-Man newspaper strip has been axed and will be replaced by reprints. It had been running since 1977, and was supposedly written by Stan Lee but was really written by Roy Thomas. There are plans to relaunch down the line, but the current creative team know nothing about that, so it sounds like it would be a modernised reboot.

I was aware of the strip which I think appeared in the Funday Times section over here but wasn't aware of the collected volumes. I don't suppose they are available in the UK

Yes my mate Steve said he got a volume from a remainder bookshop a few years ago. £40.90 is far too pricey.
