Good morning from Athens, Greece! :D

Recently, I bought a full Roy of the Rovers magazines package, of years 1988 and 1989.

I've managed to identify most of the artists, except two or three of them.

Here is some stuff...

Family Fortune.jpg
Can you help, please?

Kind regards,

Hi Nikos. Greetings to Greece from Wales—Cymru. Iechyd da—good health.

The "Family Fortune" page appeared in Gary Lineker's Hot-Shot comic and was drawn by artist, Bob Harvey.

And the "Magic Man" page featured in the Scorcher comic and was drawn by the artist, John Gillatt (1929–2016). He was also known for the "Billy's Boots" strip.

Hope this helps? :)

Yes, correct Richard S. Cartoonist Sandy James did indeed do the Family Fortune strip too, but much later when it was imported from the Hot-Shot comic (first published 1986) after it merged with the Roy of the Rovers in 1989. So yes, he could be credited as an artist. Man, we are all fonts of knowledge. :D

can we have a bigger / better scan of 'Magic Man' please? I don't think that Gillatt has drawn the episode highlighted

No, no, artist of 'Magic Man' isn't Gillatt for sure :D

He is either Argentinian Ramiro Bujeiro or Italian Mario Capaldi, both of them having contributed in IPC/Fleetway comic series at that era.

I can post a bigger image, would you like to give me an e-mail address, or I could send you via messenger...

About 'Jimmy', now, I strongly believe that sample posted here is an Angelo Todaro's piece of artwork.
