Yes, "The Project Strigas Affair" and James Doohan is in "The Shark Affair".

I recall watching The Man From Uncle films on BBC2 and reading the books and comic strips and annuals I got from jumble sales but never saw any episodes until they repeated many of the colour episodes on BBC2 in the early 90s (I think?).
Recorded these on VHS.
Is this the first time in the UK that the original series 1 ( the black and white episodes) has been repeated ??
I first saw them on a DVD that I purchased years ago. Absolutely brilliant.
Later got the full series and films on DVD.
My parents loved the first series and would talk about it with me but went off the series from season 2 onwards.
Personally, season 2 is my favourite season of the four.

Maybe they meant season 3 which was basically a comedy series. The producers got the message and reverted to straight spy stories with season 4. Although still with some tongue in cheek.

You could be right. I'm not a huge fan of season 3 myself.

I don't really think of seasons re tv shows. I grew up watching UNCLE and just love the format, stories, characters and gadgets. You weren't aware of seasons back then. It's only nowadays where the EPG gives you - eg. S3 E8 that it enters your mind. I don't recall a duff episode though. Watching them now in chronological order may give me a better idea. I'm currently enjoying Person of Interest again on 5 USA. A superb series from first to last episode.

Just watching an episode of "Johnny Ringo" on this channel.
Don't think I have ever seen this show before.
Apparently was one season 1959-1960 and the guy that goes on to play Major West from Lost in Space is in it.
Johnny has a unique Le Matt revolver.

Apparently Wyatt Earp claimed he killed Ringo but later explanations seem more plausible, he probably committed suicide.

Yes they were favoured by Confederate generals during the Civil War. Industry and factories were all in the North so the South had to get firearms from overseas hence the French Le Mat. If you go to the Battle Orders website you can buy an authentic replica for £89 as well as the Mare's Leg cut down Winchester as used by Steve McQueen in Wanted Dead Or Alive. In 1968 I was looking through the spinner rack for comics and noticed a magazine called Real West. True stories of the old west. I bought it regularly from then on as well as similar true Western magazines, I now have several hundred. I've always liked westerns and the real wild west.

I was born in 1968 and despite my Dads' love of Westerns I didn't really get into the genre until the 80s/90s (not certain ) when Channel 4 started repeating Rawhide and Wagon Train.
It's funny thinking about it now, when I was a kid my friends and I would always play cowboys and indians and there were so many toy guns etc.
I don't think todays' society values would find this appropriate !!
Did you watch the "Wyatt Earp and the cowboy war" series last year on Netflix?

No, I only have freeview, or 'Council tv' as my mate Wayne calls it. I was watching Star Trek TNG last week and a dig found some 19th century relics, Data picked up a Colt Revolver and referred to it as an 1873 Colt Double Action Revolver. I immediately shouted at the TV "rubbish it's a Colt single action". How could they not know?
