The Dr Who Animations: The Celestial Toymaker

Post by jim244 »

Since we are missing 97 episodes, the BBC have released animated versions of many of the missing episodes.
Some work better than others but I am delighted that many releases that do this also contain a telesnap version.
Personally, I have the loose cannon telesnap versions and the CDs of missing episodes but I am delighted that this animation continues.
The Celestial Toymaker was released to conflicting views but over time has gained great reviews and deservedly so.
It's very different from the rest of the animations, it actually looks like a Gerry Anderson production ( but isn't ).
It's like animated 3d doll puppet thing....ie Thunderbirds.
If you ever watch any animated Dr Who, watch this !!
In my opinion, if all the animations were done in this manner, they would be far more popular.
It's available on BBC iplayer for free or DVD (which includes the episode that still exists and other stuff).
I really cannot recommend this enough.
