Toy Train-Red Plastic track

As a child I had a load of this stuff.However I can find very little about it.

The only site is an Australian site and the brand name is Toltoys and I was wondering if this is what it was called over here

Toltoys was just the distributor. A quick Google search shows that they also distributed the 80s Star Wars toys, which were identical to those released by someone else (didn't say who on the site I looked at) in the US and I assume Europe.

Oh! I spent a lot of time in hospital as a child, and the children's ward had masses of this track so me and my friends would set up huge rail networks snaking under all the beds and around the lockers and things. It's one of my favourite memories, how kids of all ages from different countries with various serious illnesses could all get together and just play at the same thing. It's lovely to see those trains again

When I went to infants school, there was something very similar to this, the track, IIRC, was exactly the same. From what I remember, Wooden Railway (Learning Curve) rolling stock could fit on this track. I can't remember using any of the locomotives featured on the link that was given, but I think we had wooden railway (Probably the cheap-jack ones from Tesco) engines and rolling stock instead.

It was compatible with another railway system that we had at that school, which was similar, but the track was different. For one thing I believe it was black instead of red, and felt 'smoother' than the red track. I think it had a more simplistic looking turntable and I can remember the Engines were plastic and were black with red wheels. Unfortunately that's all I know about it.
