That was a total embarrassment. The players will be going back home in shame... and I hope that referee gets the first flight home too.

They really need Roy Race to take over as manager. Look what happened in that friendly with Holland...

To think that some England fans shelled out thousands to follow and support this fiasco, while the players lap up considerable dividends, in terms of a fat fee; win or lose!

The joke is on the mugs who fund this lavish farce.

The `missed goal` doesn't deflect that England were `God-Awful` Maybe a hammering like this will do some good in the long term, only time will tell!

I went for a long walk in the country afterwards to calm meself! On one particular farm & Public pathway the farmers horse had `done his load!` as I came across it, all heaped up and still steaming (the `Load` not me!) without measing a beat, I said "Oh! I see the England Team have returned already!!" :) :D
A Face unclouded by thought.

I hear England's got a new coach.

They needed to hire one to carry the team to the airport.

Surely it's one thing or the other, steelclaw. You cannot possibly be both at the same time. :D

I'd have thought Roy Hodgson a better choice. Got international experience with Switzerland, plus managed abroad too.

Steel : You'll be more than welcome at Hampden if you decide to leave the "dark side" for Scotland - I agree Hodgson would be a great manager for England (if Capello leaves that is) he knows his stuff and has proven he can do it with lesser teams lol (yeah I know then why haven't Scotland got him - but at the moment we aspire to being a lesser team these days :) ). I still think England are making a mistake looking at the manager as the problem, look at the players sorry but they're not the best in the world, far from it the best players in the Premiership are mostly (ok there are a few English in there) Spansih, Italian, Eastern European etc it was the same in the 70s a lot of the best players were Scottish, Welsh, Irish etc.

The PFA couldn't careless about England or English players, they're in it for the money.

Star see you at Hampden.
Right whats the best team in Scotland to support? I'm thinking Stranraer or Queens Park.

No, definitely Roy Race. Someone with a spot of imagination who brings out the best in his players, and isn't afraid to do things his way.

Yes, have they forgotten their proud history? All through my early life they were a power in the land. Why are there no current equivalents of players born north of the border whose skills have graced the game? I'm thinking, in no particular order, of players like George Young, Bill Shankly, Lawrie Reilly, Slim Jim Baxter, Eric Caldow, Alan Gilzean, Gordon Smith, Jimmy Delaney, Bobby Collins, Denis Law, Paddy Crerand, Billy Bremner, Tommy Docherty, Bobby Johnstone, Ian McColl, Willie Woodburn, Billy Steel and Dave Mackay. There are plenty of others, of course. Feel free to offer your own. Surely this great heritage can't be left at the feet of the honest trundlers that make up the current crop.

I think most neutrals would probably concede that Inverness Caledonian Thistle are the most exciting team to have ever graced the Scottish game :D

I don't think Capello should go. He's only lost two matches in his entire time and coasted through the qualifications. He deserves another chance. That said, I can't understand how any nation, be that England or Cameroon, have to base their players on nationality, yet their most important member, their manager, can be from any country, without even the most tenuous link. Just seems wrong to me.

How many managers would be redundant if they had to be from the country whose team they're managing? There's Sven for starters, the Swedish manager of Ivory Coast, and Capello, England's Italian boss. Who else?
