I was just reading some of the 19th century comic art on Andy's Early comics site and was struck by how fresh some of the humour still is. here's a good example...

I don't know what you mean. Fresh!??? It looks good for it's day, but stale and dry as dust to me. But what do I know! I know nowt!

By fresh I mean I smiled when I read it ? it still touched my humour spot, but then again I?m getting to be something of a crumbly myself :cry:
