Guess what went in to get my dinner (Steak & Chips, peas & Mushrooms for anyone interested) & there it was a big gaping hole where The Dandy should be.....GRRR DCT must bang their heads against the wall.... I know I do....

Angry with Asda...grrrrr
Well popped into my local Asda this morning to grab lunch & this weeks Beano & the lady on the magazines was just removing the last two issues of last weeks Beano & yes wait for it The Dandy. I said to her you know there is no Dandy this week as that issue is a three week one, I must have been wearing my bananaman costume because she looked at me in a strange way. I showed her the recall date on the cover & she said OH.

Well, this certainly proves that irregular frequencies DO NOT work. People can't buy it if it's been taken off the shelves early!
Re: Angry with Asda...grrrrr
I'd e-mail DC Thomson if I were you! They need to be made aware that this irregular issues thing is ridiculous! Extra buyers, my foot - surely they'd gain more buyers if they sold an issue every week! ARRRGGHHH!!

Some punctuation would not have gone amiss in your post as "guess what went in to get my dinner" threw me for a while. And nice to know you were "well popped".
Apologies for pedantry. It comes with reaching middle age - grumpy old men and all that. I'm just waiting for my haddock and chips to cook. Marrowfat peas for me, though.

I still follow the teachings of the late, great Oliver Reed when it comes to peas; they have to be mushy.stevezodiac wrote: Apologies for pedantry. It comes with reaching middle age - grumpy old men and all that. I'm just waiting for my haddock and chips to cook. Marrowfat peas for me, though.

I didn't see any Dandys when I bought my Beano in Asda today. I bet my branch took them off early too.
Re: Angry with Asda...grrrrr
Just to balance it up a little I got the latest Dandy from Asda yesterday. The Dandy's were shoved right at the back as always though but I moved them to the front like the champion for traditional British comics that I am.
Re: Angry with Asda...grrrrr
Went into Tesco on Wednesday to grab my copy of the latest Beano and in the recommended bit was The Dandy! Looks like Tesco aren't as stupid as Asda!
