Not quite; the text from one of the Christmas ones was accidentally pasted onto the correct art a few weeks ago, but we never did find out what was supposed to go in that box. The reason there was only one this week was simply that they got out of sync, with all those issues with four mini-strip pages instead of three.

Therefore we've really only had 98 excuses. But I'm not complaining - at least we've finally seen the back of the whole thing now! The Dandy's mini-strips are going through a strong phase at the moment, after a period a few months ago when "Are you ready for the question, Noel?" was the highlight, and both strips which replaced the second and third excuse slots were welcome additions.

And after 101 Ways to Use a Meerkat, shortly followed by 99 Genius Homework Excuses, I really hope the Dandy uses its twelve mini-strip slots to their full potential from now on...
Help! Help! We're being held prisoner in a signature factory!

Me too, Peter :(. Last issue we received on the Friday before the 'on the shelf' Wednesday; this week, it's the day after the shop date and not a sausage... I'll drop them a line if nothing through tomorrow, I guess. Could get 2 issues tomorrow !!!

It's definitely by Wayne Thompson and what's more - it's new! Wayne's been drawing them recently and said he had great fun reviving the series - apparently the characters have been changed slightly to fit in with the current revamp though.

Great news about Bully Beef and Chips returning, I will look forward to reading their new series when I pick up my Dandy tomorrow.

On another note it seems that this week The Dandy will be in the shops a day earlier than The Beano as the recall date on last weeks Dandy was the 9th of May whereas on The Beano it's the 10th of May.
