Very likely. The jokes were taken from the Internet!
Here's one of them: http://bash.org/?850065

No, that one has been in every comic ever printed in some variation or other, including the Beano. The same goes for the others - they're using the old Dandy joke book again!
Re: This week's issue Take 2
It's free again on the iPad some sort of promotion?

Looks like a few minor changes to the cover design this week. The logo has been repositioned, they've properly integrated the issue number into the barcode box, the price is in big type in the top corner, and the typeface for the headlines has changed - it's now one of the same ones the Dandy uses. The fact the price says that it's "still" £1.50 makes me suspicious though. I can make a reasonable guess that it'll go up at the end of the year.

Probably when The Dandy disapears later this year Digi.
Re: This week's issue Take 2
Yeah, Christmas was my guess.
Re: This week's issue Take 2

The Golden Ticket digital subscriptions still haven't activated yet. It's supposed to start this month.

The word of today is neon. You couldn't miss the orangeness!

I see what you mean... and that cover is looking more and more like the Dandy's, strangely enough. Same typeface, Nigel Parkinson artwork (he did the majority of Dandy covers when Harry Hill was in it), and now a banner saying how many comic strips are inside (19).

Check out this week's cover! Two very nice retro references there. Dennis's original tagline "The World's Wildest Boy" and the old advertising slogan "Everyone we know loves the Beano" appear!

I thought the old advertising slogan was "Never be without a Beano" or did they have two.

Everyone we know loves The Beano
Now that takes me back I remember that slogan being above The Beano logo on some of the earliest issues I bought back in the mid 90s.
Happy days!!!

I want so much to like what they're doing—but that new look for Dennis' Dad distracts me every time. It's not the hair or the absence of mustache that bother me: it's the podgy neck and the very different face.
