Ahhhhh, so this is about you don't believe I bought them on eBay?

Fair enough I guess, but then I didn't think a run of Smash was that particularly staggering.

BTW, I've been a member of this forum a number of years longer than you, which should annoy you even further :D

I'm sorry if I have in any way contributed to this rather lively discussion!

I was really impressed that both lots were won for that price and was amazed that I hadn't seen them as I have searches set up for both. To be honest, I was disappointed in myself that I somehow missed them. I can only assume they weren't even loaded under Books, Comics and Magazines?

I've had a 2nd check under the sold items and still can't see them so would really appreciate a URL link to one of them so I can see where I went wrong please!

Have to agree with the bees on flowers comment though as I have a bee hive in the garden! They say local honey is good for you and you don't get more local than your own garden!

Just checked and they were both under the 'other' bit in books, comics and magazines.

Sorry to be a bit cagey about this but I want to receive them before I post the links. You can get some very odd people on forums who are apt to do strange things sometimes...

Once bitten, twice shy so to speak.

Looks like the guy has some new stuff listed, not my cup of tea though.

I totally understand not posting the link before you receive the comics but my interest was gnawing away at me so I found both lots.......Congratulations on two great wins! I would have gone for both of those without hesitation. At least I now realise why I never saw them.

I hope their condition is good when you get them......they'll keep you busy for a while!

Well that's just being silly, koollectablz. Why on earth would I consider such primary-school-type boasting to be even remotely important? That is a rhetorical question by the way so obviously no reply is required.

Yet your posts are filled with things like:
Phoenix wrote:I doubt very much whether there is anything you can teach me about comics, koollectablz.

Reading through some of the stuff you say in threads to other normal folk I can't decide whether you're actually genuinely devoid of any social graces and are really serious or that you're taking on the persona of being a supercilious oaf for humorous effect.

I'd like to think it was the latter, yet I'm tending to suspect it's the former.

Anyways, it's a bright Sunday morning! And off to hunt for comics! (And maybe meet some buzzy bees!)

Not today as I'm still digesting breakfast while reading a French Tintin. This week I bought a couple of manga books - One-Punch Man #7 and what a refreshingly entertaining series it is; Livingstone #3 - as the back page blurb has it," A unique, character-driven story that delves into a world that handles philosophical themes with a poignant grace" and I think it has some interesting and thought provoking storylines.
Also, some Archie digests for (very) light reading. Amusing in an annoying awfy American way.
2 issues of Western Library - a pocket library title, #8 and 16, published by Ron Philips. Now this is interesting as the ads on the back page are for Fleetway war library titles. So another we bit of research to see what the connection is, if any. The comics were printed in Finland and look a bit like Buck Jones reprints.
I wont be watching the bees this morning as it's p*****g down, so off to a garden centre for coffee, buns and some green therapy.

Muse on. In the overall scheme of things your opinions, even when you can manage to make up your mind, are of scant value.

Refering to earlier comments, I believe bats are a protected species and therefore if a number of forum members have bats in the belfry we shouldn't complain and as there are reports of a shortage of bees ,then standing in the garden you may not see one for days. :)

That kind of thing has happened to me quite a few times over the years and I've just asked the seller for a refund or to return the comics and all bar once, it's been sorted out happily. The seller may not have realised the coupons were not there.

I had a Valiant annual last month with the first 15 pages missing!

Pocket Western Library #1 from 1966 "The Lost Expedition" and
See-Saw #2 by the BBC (with free gift) from 1976 featuring Barbapapa, Rhubarb and Custard, Wombles etc

Bought this bundle of nostalgia for £2.50p from carboot this morning.(see pic)
A pity someone has written on the free presentation booklet from film fun comic ,even so it must be quite rare.
Image
There was a chap at the carboot selling sheets of original B/W comic art at £15 each or 2 for £25.
They looked like they could have been for UK girl's comics but the price was too much for me.
Also passed on 1969 and 1970 Dandy annuals at a £1 each and also passed on Denis Gifford's Best of Girl annual at a £1 although I almost changed my mind on that one.
