In truth, my Vic Neill article probably needs more info about his 1980s work for I.P.C., but I think that would be better left to someone who has a better knowledge of I.P.C.'s comics than myself.

In case anyone is interested i have just finished merging info about all comic strips with gnshaer as the main character into the Gnasher article on wikipedia because previously Gnasher and Gnipper and Gnasher's bite redirected to Gnasher but Gnasher's tale had it's own article so I just merged that into the article to be consistent.

Also someone made a Bea and Ivy article as well, could do with being merged into both the Bea and Ivy articles even. Have now changed that so there a disambig to the article on bea and the article on ivy

Andy Fanton's page needs some clean-up. A template box at the top of the page explains what needs doing, although it's 11 months old so some of it may have already been dealt with. I've just removed some redlinks and past tensed a bit about George vs Dragon's second run. But further updates are still needed.

I found this on the Bash Street Kids article (I have reverted it now)

It is known none of the boys are averse to fancying a girl, in the 2001 Bash Street Kids annual, they fall in love with a reserve teacher in a perverted strip drawn by Mike Pearse.

Never in my career as a schoolteacher have I come across the expression a reserve teacher. Where does it come from? It sounds like one who sits permanently on the staffroom bench until a regular teacher is completely disabled by the class they have been taking, at which point he or she is sent out into the fray by the headmaster. Children tend to refer to anybody who turns up to take their class instead of their usual teacher as a sub, obviously short for a substitute, even if that is simply a different member of that school's permanent staff. The correct term for the lady who appeared in front of the Bash Street Kids is a supply teacher. All schoolchildren and all teachers are completely familiar with it, the letterer for that strip obviously not, unless, of course, it is an expression used solely north of the border.

On topic, look what some simply not spiffing bounder did to Lew Stringer's wikipedia page.

I don't mind saying that said not so spiffing bounder was yanobandy, or someone sharing his IP address. Tictak will not be returning either.

Yes, I read the earlier revision of the page and I thought it was totally disrespectful, as well as being bang out of line with the requirements of a Wikipedia page. I just hope Lew didn't read it, I'd have been very upset and annoyed if I was him.

Looking down the revision history, I noticed that another trollish and offensive edit had been made to the same page by Flavourbeans - I think we know who that is.

I was beginning to smell a rat with tictak as well - it was the general tone of his comments and the pointless posts (e.g. adding a post to a two year old topic about a Send for Kelly strip) that made me wonder.

I smelt a rat immediately and bided my time, but let's leave that to the Suggestions and Support forum.

I've just written a section on British Comics for TV Tropes. It could still use some work and i am a bit annoyed (but not really surprised) that pretty much every british comic has no article on TVTropes except for some of the ongoing comics the Beano, The Dandy, Viz, 2000AD and Commando.

Hi Tin Can - If I may be allowed, I have one small criticism regarding the list of notable comics; I'm pleased to see that it's been included, but the title of the comic starring Cheeky was actually Cheeky Weekly.

I have changed the name of Cheeky on the TVTropes list to Cheeky Weekly I think i listed it as that originally because the Wikipedia article for the comic had the name Cheeky (comics) but I have also now changed that to Cheeky Weekly.

Thanks for changing it, and changing it on Wikipedia. I did make a few changes to the Wikipedia Cheeky Weekly article a long time ago, but I didn't know how to correct the title. The Wiki CW article still needs some work but I'd rather devote my time to the blog.

Sorry to bring him up again, but it seems a certain person (I think you all know who I mean, especially those of you on the Beano forum) has returned to Wikipedia and is once more editing articles. Here is a sample of what he has done this time:
