Ending to Bunty Story "Who's Her Ladyship?"

Anyone know how this story ends. It involved two girls Poppy and Queenie, where one of them was believed to be the missing heiress to the Winters estate. I know it ended in Bunty #1205 (14 February 1981) as I have issues #1204 and #1206 but of course it ended in the issue I'm missing!

The hair in the envelope is black, indicating that the true heiress is Queenie. However, Mr Rushworth wants samples of both girls' hair so that laboratory tests can be made on their texture. The girls are upset, and feel better without the mystery being solved. Lady Winters is unhappy too because she loves both girls, but once the test results are back she will only be able to love one. Both girls eventually come down to join in the fun at a Winters' family ball, and afterwards Queenie tells Poppy that she wishes the laboratory would burn down and destroy the evidence for ever. Over the next few days Poppy makes a lot of enquiries about the laboratory, breaks in, finds and tears open the relevant envelope, and discovers that the positive match is with her hair not Queenie's. She goes back home and tells Queenie she has some bad news for her. That news is that the evidence has been lost due to some mix-up at the lab. Queenie is delighted because now nothing can change the best friendship that ever was made. The final panel shows Poppy, on her own, burning the evidence.

Thanks very much! A similar story Double Trouble (Mandy) had a father trying to discover which of two girls is his daughter. The evidence arrives in an envelope but we never find out which one is his daughter because he has grown to love them both and he burns the evidence without ever looking at it.

I did wonder if this story ended in a similar manner!

Yes, the basic plots of the two serials were similar, peace, but for me the really odd thing is that they were only just over a year apart. Readers of Bunty and Mandy at that time would have spotted the similarity straightaway.
