Looking for Christmas story from 60s?

I've had the following enquiry on my site, does the story sound familiar to anyone?

"Hi, I’m wondering if you can help. I’m searching for a story that my mum told be about and would most likely have been in a Christmas annual the 60’s. It was about a group of orphans who weren’t going to get anything for Christmas, so they drew everything they wanted on a big sheet of paper and in the morning it had all become real. I’ve been searching for a while and can’t find anything at all, I know it’s not much to go on so any help would be greatly appreciated!"
