There are separate fora open to registered members for discussing specific comics, artists, websites etc.
Maybe the Joker comics from 1929 are the oldest in my collection.
The edges on them are taped which could be for strengthening or at one time someone kept them in a folder.
I have 5 comics and to be honest I can't remember where I got them from l think maybe my son ordered them for me.
Anyway I prefer pictures to words so here's a couple of small images
I may produce more images from my collection at a later date if I can see through the dust

Those are some interesting comics. That Jim Crow character is very dated...
What are other people's oldest comics in their collections?
I have a copy of Illustrated Chips from 1904 and a Funny Wonder from 1915 with Charlie Chaplin on the cover.
However after reading this http://lewstringer.blogspot.com/2010/02 ... miles.html on Lew's blog I suspect the latter is a reprint from the 1970s.
I picked both up from ebay about 10 years ago.
I love the artwork on Casey's Court and The Doings of Denny O'Dowd
I have the large Denis Gifford book about Charlie Chaplin which shows many of the Funny Wonder covers.
(Hawks Books 1989)
I don't like the chaplin strips that much but the Gifford book is worth having as are most reference books.
That looks like a really interesting book.
Charlie Chaplin comics must have been much more collectable back then, than they are today.
Personally I've never really been a fan of those celebrity comics but its interesting how tastes change.
