Your Top Ten Comics Today/LifeTime/All Time

Post by SID »

Three questions actually.

Question 1: Top Ten Today - What are your Top Ten comics/magazines that are in publication anytime this year?

Question 2: Top Ten Lifetime - What are the Top Ten comics/mags/story papers that you had in your lifetime?

Question 3: Top Ten All Time - What are your Top Ten comics/magazines/story papers of all time?

Hardly original but I thought it would be fun.

Hope you guys want to join in

I can’t put them in order as it depends a lot on what mood I’m in as to what are my favourites. There’s also 4 or 5 more series I could have easily put in this list that I’ve really enjoyed reading as well as most of the Marvel UK 1970s series.

Valiant
Starlord
Warrior
Commando
Superheroes
Smash, later series
2000AD
Creepy Worlds
Battle
Modesty Blaise (Titan GNs)

Great choices, guys.

You're right about not having a clear favourite, Adam. Maybe apart for the early 2000 AD.

Starscape, I did get Marvel Superheroes monthly back in the day though my favourite Marvel mag of that time was Rampage Magazine - both with the Hulk and the X-Men.

I have the complete Rampage weekly and monthly.
Great comic/magazine.
Rampage was the first UK comic to feature the "NEW" Xmen.

3 great questions Sid.
Here are my answers:

1: I enjoy the Rebellion reprints plus 2000AD; The Megazine; Commando and a couple of US mags.
2: I'm thinking it must be of our lifetimes so ebay 30s comics is cheating.
3:So can be inside or outside of our life time?

THEREFORE:
QUESTION 2:
In no order
Action
Bullet
2000AD
Star Wars Weekly
Look -In (loved the strips but not the mag but the strips are enough)
Countdown
Starlord
Warlord
Commando
Future Tense
and another 20 but you said ten !
Honourable mentions:
Valiant,Hotspur,Planet of the Apes.Avengers,Rampage,Star Heroes Pocket Book,Mighty World of Marvel,Dr Who Weekly,TV Comic....I could go on for ever so will stop now !!!

And now I'm thinking of Astounding stories, the 1920s scfi Usa mag that also had a UK run and featured classic text novels from so many famous writers so I am adding this to list but no idea what goes out !!!
