DAVE COCKRUM RIP

Post by Cap Haggis »

I know this is not strictly UK comic news, but his work did appear in lots of US reprints and he had a lot of UK fans (like myself) but according to several sources, legendary X-Men . Legion of Super Heros and genra; comic book artist Dave Cockrum passed away in his sleep last night, his death a result of diabetes and its resultant complications. He was 63 years old.

Ironic timing. Those of us with the Marvel calendar on their walls are looking at Dave Cockrum's X Men art for November.

Sad news indeed. His work on the Legion of Super Heroes and the X-Men was top quality stuff.
